Unhappy Help! Terrible handling after spring install!

So here's the deal... I changed out to the Z Htechs on my 04 coupe. Now when i'm going over uneven surfaces I get this very unsettling shifting from side to side. A really squirming type feeling. I can't figure it out and when the roads are wet, it's amplified to the point where if i'm taking a turn at a more than modest pace over rough service, the vdc kicks on because it's squirming so much. I've checked, double checked and triple checked everything before, during and after the install process and done everything correct (At least i'm pretty sure). Any one else experience this? I know my alignment is probably off a bit but that wouldn't cause this would it? Thanks for any tips on the possible causese because i'm stumped on this!

I also have the Htechs, but I combo'ed them with the TOKICO shocks.. I would recommend doing the alignment first tho, I never heard of the Htechs causing such a reaction

the only time I had that kind of reaction was right after I lowered my car 2.5 inches...

and the insides of the rear tires were nearing bald... and I had a camber of -3.5 on each rear tire.

my suggestion, get an alignment... I believe your toe is WAY off.

GLuck

Thanks for the quick response guys. Yeah I've never heard of springs causing a reaction like this. I've always thought you needed alignment only if your car was drifting to one side or to kinda fix your tires from butterflying. Any chance an actual component in the suspension may need to be checked and or replaced?

the other guy is in all likelyhood correct... after i dropped my car on s-techs my toe was misaligned... get an alignment done, should take care of the problem... but besure u've had the springs on for about a month before u get an alignment done to give the springs time to settle

I'm hoping alignment is all thats required. I've had a civic back in the days with a huge drop where the alignment was shot to hell but the only handling issue's I experienced was a severe bouncing effect as opposed squirming feeling. I've got an appointment with firestone to get the wheel alignment and i'll let ya'll know what the results are. You think I should opt for there lifetime alignment or just one time? Oh yeah one more thing... I'm getting this clunking type sound coming from my front driver side when I go over rough roads. Mainly around 10-25mph. maybe higher but I just can't hear. Any Ideas? Thanks again for the replys guys!

The clunking, has something to do with the bushing, theres a tsb.

I would recommend getting the lifetime deal, its like 160, and for one, its like 60.

I was looking on infinitihelp and couldn't find that tsb. Do you have a link or know what component needs to be checked and or replaced?

I am having the same problem....recently i rotated my tires from front to back ..and installed new same tires in the back. front ones have about 85% tread left on em. I am getting this uneven buttery fly feeling when driving. My g35 doesn't feel the same anymore..i feel like i am driving some american sh*t box that surves left to right on un-even roads.
