For over two years I've managed to keep my DG Coupe's paint perfect. I had it washed today and as usual, it looked new. So this afternoon I pull into CVS Pharmacy for about 5 minutes, parking at least 2 spaces from the nearest car, and come out to a fresh 4 inch key gash in the passenger door. Why can't you have something nice without someone having to screw it up???? I've been so careful where and how I park. I guess by all of the threads I've read, it's only a matter of time until it happens to all of us.

 

ugh i hate that **** bro, i get stuff like that all da time and i dont even park next to any one every1 are jerkoffs they cant apprieceiate anything

 

This younger generation coming up, many of them think they are entitled to everything and are very jealous of folks that have things that they cannot acquire.

I live in a city where I know 1 family, and nobody knows me. I parked my car at a movie theater only to come out after and see eggs all over the hood.

 

I hope it can be fixed without painting the whole door...

Just a few months ago, I saw a group of young teenage girls walking thru a parking lot. They were kicking the bumpers of every car they passed. I don't understand why people think it's 'cool' to damage property.

So far, I have never been keyed. Of course, I'm sure my day is coming. I'd better not see who did it, cuz it would be all over...

sorry to hear about that man. i always park 5 spots away from the nearest car but i know one day something is gonna happen. I took my car into philly last night too cause i went to a club, first time with my car, and when i got back to my car i took 5 minutes checkin to make sure nothin happened to it lol. my friends were laughing at me.

You'll have to pay your deductible on your insurance, which is a bummer. I'm pretty sure the whole door will have to be repainted, and they'll probably have to blend in the quarter panel and rear quarter panel to match the paint. Do you have a pic of the damage?

Wouldn't you just LOVE to catch some young punk in the act of keying your car? I'd tackle them to the ground and punch them in the face. Then I'd tell him "Try buffing THAT out!"

 

Time to jump on the bandwagon... I got keyed too.. only 1 and 1/4 inch though next to where you pump gas at. I didn't even notice it until later. I'm mad! Lucky as$ b*tch because if I caught that mother f*cker in the act... I would have pistol whip that di*k in the face. Like what AthensBlueG said, "try buffing that out!"

Now I'm freakin paranoid now when I park somewhere in public...

i got keyed once.... at my work...in the garage i always parked in. except i parked at a different spot. and sure enough... some bastid keyed my wing.... oh well...
