What to do?

I bought my 2004 g 35 coupe with brembos a couple months ago. At the time of buying the car I had done a carfax, which came up clean. An inspection of the car and test drive everything has been fine up untill now. My breaks are shot and infinit has know about this since before I had bought my car. This is the part that really gets me fired up. There was a work order put in by the person that does the safety check on the car, for new brake pads because the pads were beyond the point of safe use, two rear tires cause they are bald, and an oil change. Only the oil change was preformed. I specifically asked detailed questions about the car and the sales person answered all of them to my liking. So I have a car with almost no brakes. also a side note the service manager has been fired due to acts of similar affect. So what is my position on this the fact that the service manager vetoed a brake job on the brembos because he knew that it would dig into the rotors making it a bigger job. Not to mention the fact that brakes are kinda important, me or anyone else could have been injured due to this. The car is going to them tomorrow morrning so that I can get a loaner as to not damage anything further, and they are going to check to see what can be done. I am looking for your guys thoughts
Danny

Take it back. My friends girl brought a G and they had it for two weeks before they found out that the door skin had been replaced (he's a bodyshop foreman so he knows factory from fixed things), a bad strut in the rear and two bad tires. After they found that out she called the dealer and advised them that she no longer wanted the car. She told them that she would personally have an attorney come and drop of papers if they did not fix the problem. She ended up with a paid for loan (the dealer paid her complete loan off which was 5k over what she paid for the car when it was all said and done) got aan extra 1000.00 back a brought something else.

I'm not sure how many miles you have on your car, but brakes are included in the warranty up to 36k miles. I needed new ones at about 15k and the replaced them no charge.

I took it in today and they are pretty much saying that the rotors are messed up now but that is not because of having low pads. they are offering to go half on the cost of the break job does this sound fair

Was it a certified used car or just a used car at a dealership, because dealers aren't required in any way to fix maintenance issues when they sell a used car. Its your job as a buyer to check these things out for yourself. You bought the car without checking the amount of padlife left, and the rear wheels being bald should have also been noticeable. These are things you should have checked, and made your offer based on those things. Its not a new car so I would say the dealer is being generous by offering to discount the brake job in the first place.

I did notice the tires and ajusted my offer according, and yes this was a certified pre owned with factory warranty. I asked how the pad life was and they sad good when there was actually a notice that they were recomended to be changed which was no told to me so basicly they lied about that.

I'd be satisfied with the offer, because if they would have done the brakes in the first place, the car likely would have been priced higher to compensate for their time
