6MT clutch/shifter feel changes?

Anyone ever have this phenomenon where the shifter and clutch seem to change their feel?

Typically, my clutch will feel pretty stiff, and the shifter will feel very "metal-to-metal." Btw, it's a stock 06 6MT coupe. But sometimes, if I don't drive the coupe for a few days, like over the weekend, the clutch will feel pretty soft and mushy, and the shifter movement will feel very padded.

I actually like the latter feel, but I really don't understand why the car changes like that.

Anyone ever get this? Or might have an explanation for it?

I think i know what you're talking about... but i think it's just me that's not shifting like i should be. I go back and forth between automatic and stick every other day so i'm always jacked up

Yeah I don't think I shift like I should either. I'm no pro at it. I almost feel like the car "heals" itself when I don't touch it for a while

I think its from not driving the car and getting the mechanics working.

When mine sets for 2-3 days and I take it out it takes a while
before things start to flow better.

Just my $.02 beans

Yeah I suppose it could just be my imagination. I just thought that maybe if other people got a similar feeling, then it might not just be my imagination. Thanks for all the input though.
