i don't think nissan dealers will do infiniti warranty work for you... and we have nissan parts on our cars no 'infiniti parts'

Yes, they can do the work, but why would you do that? They don't give you free loaners.

They are not into Inifiniti's warranty stuff but they seem to be "o.K" for you to buy some parts with a wierd look after you tell them that your ride is G.
Almost same parts between the G and Z but prices much cheaper!!! If you are not much into the warranty then go with the Nissan!! as long you know what you are doing with your lovely ride!

actually nissan dealers can do warranty work if there is not an infiniti dealer within a certain mile range and you have to have prior authorization before going to the dealer

Probably a little cheaper for routine service compared with Infiniti.
I always took our Acura to Honda for $14 oil changes (bring my own).
Acura would only allow me $5 off their $29.95 price.
Advantage is the cars are mechanically the same, so there is remote chance they would spot something that was not right and let you know.
If you don't do your own service, you local mechanic is fine too. I would avoid Jiffy Lube, etc.

Depends on the dealer... There is a local Nissan dealer over here that actually advertises on TV that you can bring your Infiniti Vehicle for warranty and service repairs. (So you wouldn't need prior authorization beforehand with this particular dealer)
As for buying parts... Doesn't matter if parts from the G or Z are interchangeable. The nissan dealer can order any parts made by Nissan. They might not have the software to do a lookup on a G35, but if you just get the part number before-hand (such as by calling the Infiniti dealer), and then bring that to the Nissan dealer they can do that. That's how I got touch-up paint for cheaper. I got the paint-code for my Twilight-Blue from Infiniti, and took it to the nissan dealer, and got it for much less than what the Infiniti dealer wanted. I asked for the paint for my G35, and the guy said he can't look it up, but said if I knew the partnumber he could order it. So I used my cell phone, called Infiniti, got the number, gave it to him, and got my paint the next day.
I do that all the time as a matter of convienice because of locations. (ie, I buy Acura parts from a Honda dealer, Infiniti parts from a nissan dealer, and Pontiac parts from a buick dealer, etc)

The Nissan dealer I go to in Orlando on OBT I get a loaner for free. I know the guy there, but I don't think that's why it's free. I don't konw him like that.Originally Posted by Callaway

That is not a standard thing from Nissan. I know because I used to work at Nissan.Originally Posted by HipHopPro

Anyone will do an oil change for you! You wont void your warranty if you take your g to jiffy lube for instance....its just not quite as glamourous! I'm a sales manager at dodge and my service department does all my regular maintainance. As long as its not warranty work its not a problem. Just be sure to keep all receipts in case infiniti wants to second guess the maintaince you've done.

I just did my 48,000 km (30,000 mile) maintenance which cost $954 CDN (or approx $825 USD)!!! I regret not having it done at a Nissan dealer or elsewhere...
They charged me the initial $175 but then I needed new belts ($160), air & cabin filters ($110), tranny fluid ($285), power steering fluid ($100) and tax. I just did the same maintenance on my 05 Honda CRV and it was $550 CDN. What a ripoff...

That's besides complaints I've heard from friends and colleagues over the years.

Working at a NISSAN Dealership, I know for a fact that we cannot work on warranty work for INFINITI cars. I drive a 350Z and a QX56 and I cant get my QX56 serviced here. Regular oil changes and installs are not a problem though.
