Rogue S/T shifter

I was just sitting on my computer, its 9:54 P.M. and check my email, then I see my ship notification I got a few days ago. I check the tracking at UPS and it said it was delivered. So I take my *** to my front porch and there it is. Yay! Anyways, there is no hardware or anything, just a shifter in a box.
Is there anything I need before I install this puppy? I could have sworn I read that we need to buy something befor we install this. Thanks for your help.

The Control Socket is an extra you have to purchase if you don't want to take off the old one. It's about $12 bucks for the socket. The part number is 32870-CD000.

Well, my car is six months old, can I just use the old one? Is this a dealer part?

You could but its a PITA. better to just pay the 12 beans and
move on. you can get that part at a dealer $17-or other vendor
