GeeDawg...DC sports does make headers for our cars. Here's a link for a shop that sells them (not sure how good the shop is, but proof that someone else sells them) :
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/pe...2004&partid=24

Also what you paid for at the dealership sounds about right. I doubt that it was for 10 hours of mechanical labor. Most likely it was about 4-5 hours, since most ASE certified mechanics charge about $100 (depending on what state you live in). One would think that the dealership would employ ASE cert mechanics.

Maybe you're not satisfied with the performance that you got out of the headers...just a thought. LOL

I called back to the dealer just to see what he would say about it and he said they were made by DC sports, just a lower line. I asked him about a warranty and he said 12 months. Not sure what to do next. He is quitting today.

wow you got jacked so hard, I dunno what to say.

talk to whoever will be taking over the position, or whoever is higher up. I sure hope that wasn't the general manager that is quitting.

Wait that is a bit high at first I thought it was 540 for headers and installation. But headers + 540 for install that is a bit expensive.

you definetly need to pick the engine out of the car ten hours maybe a l,ittle high but it didnt take 10 hours becasue infintit labor rates are not $54 an hour 540/10 so im guessing it took about 5-6 hours which is reasonable

i would say if youre happy with the headers, keep them and ask for the difference that they would owe you. no sense in changing out something if you like it to something else and finding out you dont. if you want the DC, show him the quote for DC and the list price of the DC and the ones you got, and he will have no choice but to correct it.
