Angry Did I get ripped off? What would U do?

I have a dilemma, I paid $460.00 for some headers called Edge Racing Sport, which apparently are eBay brand (correct me if I'm wrong). I bought them from and had them installed at the dealer. The main problem I have is that the service manager told me he was putting DC Sports headers on my car and he obviously didn't. I think I can get some DC headers for close to the $460. I paid $540 for labor, which was supposedly ten hours, but who knows? What do you think about this? I'm trying real hard not to flame this guy all over this board. Should I confront him? Has anybody heard of Edge Racing headers or if they're any good? I searched, but couldn't find anything. Please help me sort this out. Thanks in advance for any helpful input.

I don't think DC even makes parts for our Coupes... i could be wrong tho.

Unless you have a sales receipt indicating you paid for "DC Sports", you might be SOL. not to mention 10 hours is a ridiculous amount of hours to install a header... shouldn't be more than a couple hours.

I don't have a receipt with that, but I have an email where he says DC sports specifically. I also have a lawyer. I just want to know something about this brand as far as cost and quality go before I go off. If he charged me 460 for something I could have gotten off eBay for 150 that's justification enough.

Rapeage man...sorry

If you have an email then your fine... if not they can deny ever saying DC and them charging you $300 extra isnt a problem since it would just be profit. But as long as you have the email your good man!

the header install for our cars are pretty long especially since most require lifting the engine or tilting it. So that install is a pretty fair price imo. You should definitely look for paperwork showing what they installed etc.

well as far as I am aware of crawford headers are the only headers that require you to lift the engine. I installed my DC Sports headers and it took me a good day. I would say 8 hours and that is me in my garage. As far as Edge Racing headers, I have never heard of them.

I've never heard of those headers before. I've seen some people who own G's and Z's install headers without power tools or lifts in 5-8 hours. 540.00 seems a little steep for the install and them telling you 10 hours of labor seems like a lot of time unless they had your car sitting for a few hours before they started. I asked a friend at the dealer how long it would take to drop a motor and they said about 12 hours.
