i doubt most people can afford a gtr. also, if you can afford $80k, i doubt it would be hard to pony up $15k more for a factory 600hp car.

Exactly

If I had to choose between an 08 G35 Coupe or 08 GTR, I'd go for a C6 Z06 (possibly even a C7 Z06 if its out by then) .

The Z06 is superior in perfomance and in my opinion looks alot better than the GTR.

Who here has seen a GT-R in flesh? uh huh~

Who here has driven the GT-R and compared it to its competitors? Hmmm~

Who has has knows the exact price of a GT-R when it gets released? Right?

So who are all these people making speculations on the GT-R?

Are we so sure that the Z06 can outperform a car nobody has driven brfore?

Let's be realistic.

The last thing I like doing is speculating... like speculating the specs of the 08 G35 coupe or Nissan GTR. But I mean, C'mon, due you really expect the GTR to be lighter than 3150 lbs and have more than 500 HP? I can bet my Coupe on that.

Im not saying the Z06 will have a more comfortable ride or anything of that sort, because that's just being to specific. But I highly doubt the GTR will have more than 500 HP and weigh less than the Z06.

The GTR will probably be in the next BMW M3's range, which has offically been announced as a V8, but a Z06?

Once again, we are just gonna have to wait. I dont want to get into details of something nobody has that much info on. But Im almost certain of the outcome.

PS. Let's get back on subject before this gets out of hand as it usually does.

It was a debated question that the nissan version was going to have the tt 6 and the infiniti version was going to have the v8 but nissan decided to only have the nissan version for now.

I would def go with the GTR man....just to say i own the true skyline! As opposed to our new gen G35 "skylines". I'm just itching for that AWD torque with boost! haha

GT-R vrs Z06 Gt-r less horsepower but awd ...... Gt-r wins. Try this Subaru STI 300hp awd Pontiac GTO 400hp RWD STI wins every time 1/2 mile .... my buddy had a GTO and I had an STI (b4 I totaled it) and we tested it over and over and over. You would be supprised what AWD can do ... thats why there are 9 sec daily driver Eagle Talons everywhere.

AWD only helps you gain traction and control; that's the reason why AWD vehicles always have such monster launches.

But take the Evo and STi as examples. They obliterate us on launches, yet cant seem to do the same on rolls (taking off from a certain speed).

AWD> RWD on "take-offs" and "launches.

RWD> AWD from rolls

RWD> AWD when it comes to fun
