2008 G35 coupe or the Nissan GTR
2008 G35 coupe or the Nissan GTR
which one would u get cause i have an 06 but i was going to trade it for an 08 G35 but the GTR is also an option as well. which one would u guys pick or go for?
well, they should both be fun to mod. If you're gonna go crazy with modding, just do the g35 coupe as it will be cheaper, there will be more to do, and uhh.. it'll be cheaper. I dunno.
Personally, I like to enjoy the car as is (with very minor mods every once in a while to keep up my interest). So for me, I'd go with the GTR. Unless it gets spanked by the M cars, or the slew of new cars coming out in the next 2 years. you have some time to decide, so i wouldn't fret.

2008 G35 Approx $40K RWD 6 Spd Stick Shift NA V6
2008 GT-R Approx $80K AWD 7 Spd Paddle Shift Twin Turbo V6/V8
Depends on your budget.... With Nissan/Infiniti you really do get what you paid for.

lets see...
-$40k car with $40k interior
-slower than both is350 and 335i
-internal engine revisions every other year yielding small but significant performance differences and potential
-loaner program, pretty good dealers
-comfortable, quiet, 'nice'
-seats 4 in a pinch
-outstanding handling potential
-$10k cost to TT, $20k++ to do it right. exceedingly difficult to be oem reliable. no ROI
-30k sold per month
-classy appearance
or...
-$60k car with probably $40k interior
-is350 need not apply. is-f gets killed. m3 gets killed. srt8 dead. all from a stock car....and the car's designed to be built/modified. basically all cars worth less than double the cost- save the Z06 need not apply..again, when you're stock.
-likely engine revisions, regardless most sane power levels will be achievable without too much risk/effort/expense (relative to above)...
-on avg, substandard dealers and service. best to diy
-relaitvely comfortable, but not nice. mean, in fact.
-still seats 4 in a pinch.
-outstanding power and handling potential
-much much less cost to modify to the same levels, likely to be much more reliable at similar levels, might get some ROI
-under 10k sold per month for sure
-agressive appearance
to me its simple...gt-r all the way, assuming 1. you have the cash 2. you want something more agressive and potent in terms of raw power/experience and 3. you like to work on your car yourself or take it to an independent shop (ie NOT nissan)

as for the question: i dont think its fair to choose between these two cars as they are in different price ranges. im sure we would all choose the GTR but can we all afford the GTR??

These aren't even the same class cars and if your in the position to buy a GTR there are so many other cars you should consider at that range. If I had that kind of dough, I'd buy the vette and save 20-30K even though I love Nissan/Infinity/Toyota.
