With those numbers you would be foolish to buy an M3.

You have to think the guy hasn't even done the exhaust yet and is running over 400 hp and tq (estimating a 15% drive train loss) at the crank. This is more than the M3 and I'm sure a whole lot less expensive (other than losing the warranty). I can't wait to see if the 335 with simple mods can beat an M3.

Theres no way an 08 G Coupe will keep up with something like that. Until FI is released for the new gen VQHR's, I believe Infiniti has lost the horsepower war with BMW. Its all good tho, Ill keep my reliable Nissan, the one that is STILL one of the most beautiful cars on the road, and STILL happens to be a 4yr old design.

i dont think bmw will make it that simple to go from a 335 to a M.... if all you need is a few simple mods then no one would buy the M... like u said aside from the warranty.... the M is gonna put out some serious numbers. BMW usually makes it the perfect hp to weight ratio to put out M5 numbers but with this 335 i think we may see something in the low 4 range 0-60 when this thing comes out... and i mean LOW 4s. Not to mention the crazy high end hp this thing will probably have. I expect some serious 1/4 times too

There was another guy who also had the XEDE tune done, he also head some BOV, custom exhaust, and I think it was headers, but he was running even with the M version of the Z4. I cant seem to find that post though. The 335's are very impressive, I dont know if our G's can keep up now. It will be foolish to buy the current Gen M3's with these new 335i's out. I really do hope that the new M3 will be a beast, possible a FI v8?? :P then it will give the GTR a run for its money I also read that the 335i's make their peak torque at like 1700 rpm, great power all the way through!

I have a friend in Prescott who has a 600whp E36 M3 and has one of the new ones on order. When it comes in he is sending it straight to ICS for a custom TT build. That is going to be NUTS!!!
