I checked the Benz website and BMW websites and they have illumintaed door sill plates as an option for a few hundred extra bucks.

I wish the G35 had this option. Anyone know where I can buy this even as an after-market item and have it installed?

I've been looking EVERYWHERE for sills like that since I got my car. No luck. They only ones I was able to find said something like "Type-S" on them(or something like that)

The 855.00 price is for a CL600 Coupe. For a C-class coupe it's ONLY 399.00. The price varies depending on how expensive the car is in the line-up. Kinda dumb to charge more for essentailly the same item just because the car cost more.

Why in the world would something like this be an option that you'd have to pay for???? Good god it looks like a sill with a cutout and indiglo material underneath it. That is the lamest thing i've ever seen...

Has anyone replaced / removed the sills? How deep is the crater left behind? If there is a 6mm crater left behind, not including the thickness of the sill itself, then it is a piece of cake to do. Otherwise, you would need to cut out those 6mm if possible using a dremel or some other tool.

There are plenty aftermarket ones with just as good quality as the OEM ones. I got mine from ebay for my previous benz for $189.00 front and back and that was the price before they should be cheaper now. They look very nice and classic. Btw, they are illuminated not indiglo. It'd be cool if they can come out with the ones for our car that says "skyline" on it.

They DO have sills that say SKYLINE. You can find them here and there. Or you can ask someone to fabricate them for you. The guy that did my aluminum plates said that he might be able to do the door sill. Shoot him an email. Skaskawitz@numail.org
