Make sure you wear some mechanics gloves when using a ratchet in the cold. Cold tools really transmit the cold to your body in a majorly fast way.. and you can get frostbite pretty easy from it too(or even have your hand get stuck to the ratchet!).

How much of a power increase is the spacer? and how much is really involved in putting it in?

afterthoughts

OK so a few hours later i thought everything went well, after i started it up, noticed coolant leaking from new copper throttle body heater, so waited til this morning and redid it, only took about an hour, was one stupid clamp that was a B**** to get on....overall fairly easy n straightforward install, did it by myself....i notice a definite improvement while driving, def. more midrange power....seems to lessen the acceleration "swell" as infiniti call it, its like the power comes in earlier....cant notice a difference in sound, prob b/c of the stillen airbox n z-tube as well and my exhaust system....but i am happy with the mod and would def. recommend it to anyone else...also cleaned my MAF sensor and ECU reset while i was at it....this saturday im installing the Z Tein H techs and some 06 Z shocks n struts hehe.

Cold spacer install............

Isn't that a great mod? Took me 50 minutes in my garage but if it's cold
you may have hurried a bit. I guess it's difficult to find a garage in NYC!

how do u clean the MAF and reset the computer?? i just installed my 5/16th last weekend and didn't do those things. It was a simple instal until i dropped one of those white spacer things and it fell down into where the valves were, so that added an extra hour to get that out.

bought some MAF sensor cleaner from R&S Strauss....on the MAF right by air filter, i unplugged the sensor, then removed 2 screws and pulled out sensor, be careful not to touch the sensor with ANYTHING.....just lay it down on its side on some paper towels and blast it with the cleaner about 15 times in 1 second bursts, lets dry and replace....gotta be careful with it , b/c its very sensitive.....as far as ecu reset 2 ways to do it as far as i know....you can unplug neg. side of battery overnight...or what i did was a sequence of depressing and releasing the accelerator pedal with ignition on "ON" but engine off....if you search ecu reset whould be pretty easy to find....its also on the last page of the plenum spacer install manual on www.motordyneengineering.com.
