Hey everyone!.... I just purchased my M6 DG coupe, fully loaded and I love it. but was kinda upset about the armrest thing. I really like the armrest found in the fully loaded automatics. The Question is....." When are those aftermarket armrest kits coming out for the coupes produced before february?" I'd really like to upgrade my center console!!!....I hope you guys can give me some answers.....thanks

 

From what i've heard all cars made in December on will have the armrest, as for the earlier models it can be retrofited but you have to buy the entire center console.

When did you order your car.. and how long did you have to wait... essentially ..was it a car from the December time frame like Blade suggested ....and if so or not .. do you have photos or could you give us a better description of its looks and fun****ion.

Not that I need it in writing ... but I just ordered mine over a week ago with ETA of april/May ... so of course I am wondering ..(obsessing) about the issue..

I'm in the process of purchasing a 6MT, and my dealer(nissan motor corp guam) told me that the last 6MT he sold came with the armest. He says there are armrest on the ones he receives here. I'm doubtful based upon the discussions here on the forum, but I will check when the next 6MT comes in.

In response to your inquiry, G35 Coupe M6 models manufactured from December
2002 and forward are equipped with front armrests. It is possible to
install the armrests on earlier versions of the vehicle, but this would
involve replacing the entire centre console.

this means ..that Infinti is putting armrests on them after December ... So that means ... since I ordered mine last week ... 10 days actually ... that I should be getting one...

At first i wanted the armrest and was goign to consider the armrest installation when it was available. But i have changed my mind and come to the conclusion that a sports car shouldnt have an arm rest. A luxury car on the other hand should. So depending on what you consider your car and how you drive it, or will drive it... worry about the armrest... Just a thought...

this car is sports-luxury..like a 3series bimmer or C-benz...so it needs an armrest.....

I'm not going to believe it until I see the armrest. Is it normal for manufacters to makes changes this quickly after the car just came out?

 

They did it with the sedan.

 

I agree with marcel...at first I wanted one badly...but I've grown to like it without...and I'm also realizing now that my old roommate's 200 323ci had one, and it got in the way of everything below it (ie cup holder, and some other storage space)...IMO

Seems that people are pretty different on this...they should make it an option.

 

What other changes in this new rev? Just armrest or is there others?
