15 farad???? Holy.. Chances are, your cap is never charging fully. You're still pulling from the battery. I don't know what the amperage of the G's alternator is, or if you're running stock battery (i'm guessing so), but i'm imagining you're pulling too much for the battery and it's punching the alternator in the *****. Revs to try and boost the alternator (belt).

i'd check what you're pulling, and remember to add the car's electronics in, and see if you're exceeding the limits of your charging system. If you are, hell, it might be worth it to borrow a deep cycle battery like the optima yellow top and see what that does for you. If nothing there, you need to boost the alternator by replacing with a high output one. You'll most likely loose a few ponies turning it tho.

If you're cool with your gear + car electronics, and flying under the limit, then i don't know. Look for a short or something that connects when your sub hits.

Again, i'm just guessing here...

far as i know the 06g c is amping out 115a,from stock, alt. how many watts are you pushingbye the way, what amp? sounds like your a hard hitta, i had my kx1200.1 with two 12 l7 on my scion tc i had and it was barly burping 80amps, from the alt, running no cap, and i was fine at half the volume dropping pictures off my wall, with nothing else pulling except the ac and stereo

Tell us your complete set-up...Wire thickness, amp, speaker, HU...Could be your Alternator...

Glycerine has a point...You only need to get a certain Farad Cap for certain applications...15 Farad cap is for a huge number of amps and speakers...Usually those in competition...That cap is over kill for your system..I'm assuming you have just the basics...

I have an Alpine 1.1000 amp running 2 10W6v2's with 2awg wire. It really pisses me off I thought the cap would fix it but it only helped a little bit.

Did you guys use a resistor to first charge the cap? They said when you first install the cap. You need to get a little resistor to slowly charge the cap.

Yea, I did. The cap helps but it does not seem like a complete solution.

ok,

for the subs, that all that really matters here cause that the only amp drawing that kinda voltage, is a audison vrx-1502. its a class AB amplifier, from the battery i have kicker 1/0 gauge wire to a 15 farad alumapro cap. i think the only fix here would be a H.O. alternator. but i heard that hurts performance. i am just hoping that there is a quicker/cheaper fix.

from what i read over at caraudio.com forum caps are bascially useless and just another way to waste some money and dont really help stopping the lights flicker in ur car.

caps will NOT stop lights from flickering! caps help your vehicles battery. if anyone wants further CORRECT info regarding caps go to www.the12volt.com. places like circuit city and best buy give out false information in order to sell something. besides g35's have HID's which wont flicker.overall, yes they are pretty much a waste of money, especially the pringles can lookin ones. take the money you want toi vest into a cap and buy a high output alternator. i mean a 15 farad alumapro cap is $549. thats basically the price of an alternator. the only reason why i have one is becuse i got mine basically for free. so.
