So stupid if it was not meant to park in a spot like that then why would it have the feature/option. Either way auto park is stupid.

I would LOVE all elderly individuals or those who can't drive well to have this type of system on their cars. You laugh now, but it is going to be funny when some moron backs into your G because they are simply bad at parking. You would wish they had this type of option for their car.

Laugh it up dunce!

No, it IS able to park in spots like that. The problem is that the people in the video INTENTIONALLY didn't operate the system correctly.

How this gets lost on soooo many people is an absolute mystery...

So are you saying it can't do what it is supposed to? Do tell...

The video would be like someone getting in a G35 with Navi and punching in the wrong address, following the directions, then throwing a fit when they are 5 miles away from where they actually wanted to go as opposed to the wrong address.

Then you would have a group of 30 people on a forum saying things like, "haha, that stupid g35. You should KNOW where you are going! What a piece of crap option"

Apparently you want to look like you don't know what you are talking about. Oh well!

All things aside, show me where I am wrong.

take it easy buddy. youre defending a feature of a car that isnt yours. who cares if hes not using it right, its a bull**** feature because it does take time to work, and if youre backing up a two lane road to parrallel park with your auto park, then whats a convenience for the guy with the auto park is an inconvenience for everyone else. if you dont know how to park without hitting a car you should not have a license.

Yes. I am. Why? Because everyone here who thinks it doesn't work and doesn't understand the intent of the people who made that video end up making people on this forum look bad for their ignorance. Look on youtube, there are SEVERAL videos that show this feature works just fine. And once you get the process down it should only take about 15 seconds to engage.

That is not what is at issue. Besides, as said before, once someone actually knows how to use the system it takes no time.

Which would you rather have:

A bad driver who doesn't parallel park well and has to readjust 5 times before getting it right, wasting a couple of minutes and possibly nudging your car.

or

A bad driver who learned how to use this system in 15 seconds or less and rely on it to get the parking job better than they probably could ever do it on a regular basis. All without touching anyone's car and actually not taking too long.

The mere fact that you can get your license without having to be great at parking efficiently is enough to make me wish more people had this system. Clearly if a spot is large and easy to park into a person simply wouldn't engage his system. But how many times have you seen idiots try to park in a spot they could never fit in? Or how many times have you seen people try to park in spots they could BARELY fit in, only to take FOREVER and a day to park, give up, and drive away for nothing?

This at least gives the option of not wasting time by adjusting 5 times or can tell the less skilled driver if they can even fit in the spot.

I agree people should be better drivers, but the practical fact is that they simple are not and will not be. Denying it doesn't make sense to me. Anything that can help these people is a GOOD THING.

Anyone who thinks that is stupid is, well...

I really think people who can't park shouldn't drive!

1st of all, you **** need to know that this feature was only ment to be used to park on "tight" parallel parking.

you know, when you can't possibley to the parking w/o a partner getting out to tell you went to stop, when to turn and when ur good?

well, lexus made it so that a driver with no outside help can parallel park his/her car in the tightest spot w/o damaging the lexus... (fender benders and wheel scrapes)....

and yes, a lot of people can't parallel park for jack shlt... thats why your brand new G has bumper scrapes and wheels damages...

if ur complaining about Lexus and or laughing at them, then do a search in this forum to see how many dumb **** scraped their wheels, reversed into their garage and damaged a fender, shlt like that...

keep laughing cause there a bunch of retarded G drivers in this forums who admitted to being a dumb *** and ruined their G...

now STFU already...

sure its good technology and works well, but its not 100%. scrapes and bumps will happen with it. and whos to say the bad parkers will take the time to learn and continually use the system? if they dont want to learn how to do something as simple as parking then why would they take the time to learn how to use something that will take them 10 times longer than not using autopark? if its a tight spot it would be good, but the car in front or behind without autopark can still hit you if its so tight.

scrapes and bumps will not occur when using this. it has sensors all over to prevent it..

its like sensors used in the Nissan Aramada. When ur reverse, the reverse camera turns on and the sensors then beeps when ur too close... its beeps faster and louder when ur about to hit it.

the video where those guys were using it are idiots. when its that easy, u do the parking ur dam self...

look how it stop inches away from the other car.

another video showing how how it works.
