Raising the G35c
Anyone actually use a low profile jack on the front/center jack point? The one I have, the jack clears (just barely), but there is no room to pump, so I have to use a screwdriver as the lever, which is a pain, because there is no leverage, and it takes forever...
So I said screw it, and bought an air/hydraulic jack... I have to back the car onto a 2x4, but now I can just push a button, and the car raises by itself

That's why I opted for an air-assisted hydraulic jack, so I wouldn't have to pump at all. The jack seat clears fine, it was the jack body that wouldn't clear. However, most of the low-profile "racing" jacks I've seen at stores have a low-clearance jack-seat, but a huge jack body. (Probably because they are the kind that raises the car to the maximum height with minimal pumping)... I measured those, and those jack bodies are actually bigger than my air-jack. That, and for the price of that particular jack, it was basically the same price as my air-jack. Worth every penny in my opinion... I did a brake job on a TL a little while back, and I was able to get the time down to about 10 minutes per side, start to finish, which includes jacking the car, removing the wheels, etc... (Air tools are your friends
)I was just curious if anyone used the loprofile jack on the front/center jack position, to see if I was the only one with issues. (Maybe it's just my jack, I don't know) But when I saw pictures of people using the jacks on the side jack points, that's why I got curious...

Raised the car today... that's where i put the floor jack... is it the correct place to put the floor jack?

I saw a white colored dot there so I centered it there.
Pinch welds didn't bend with the jackstands bythabay recommended. Probably because I sort of left the floor jack under the circled part.
