I guess depending on how small and where the crack is located, you may just want to repair it. My crack was located right at the rear view mirror and so patching it up didn't bother me. This company charged $20 for the patch and got quoted a replacement for around $200-250. A buddy of mine replace his 00' Solora windshield for $220.

a friend of mine got his repaired too...it was like $30...if you have a small crack i suggest you get it repaired because if you want an oem windshield it will set you back around $800-$900

whats considered a small crack? i've had the small star shaped ones fixed before. this one is an actual crack that runs about 8-10 inches.

I don't think you can repair and 8"-10" crack. That will just get worse with either cold or hot weather. My 03 had 46 miles on the odo when I got slammed by a truck rock. Put a bullet-like hole right below the passenger windshield. I had it repaired for $50 with the epoxy injection method. Still have the same windshield.

yeah an oem windshield will set you back around 800. i had mine replaced back in november when some kids shot at my window when i was driving. insurance paid in full and they were caught shooting at other random people later that week. im still mad about that..

Doesnt insurance cover that ?
If it does, get OEM because sometimes the aftermarket windsheilds arent shatterproof

^OEM windshields maybe shatterproof but it sure don't seem like it.

thanks for the link, I have a chip on the windshield of both my cars, now I can get it fixed.

What sucks is I've asked before at a window shop if the window can be repaired and they said you can fix windows, only replace them. what a bunch of bullcrap

My insurance will replace it if a $1 bill won't cover it up.

Usually they can fill cracks so they stop cracking but usually they cant make a crack disappear. It should be around 300 dollars or so to get it replaced. I usually pay around 150 for windshields without weather stripping.
