need help about my car!!!!!

since the weather get so cold, i find every monring after i start my car, it comes a rubbed and grating sound from the space between the engine and from bumper . it seems coming from the strap and pulley. when the car get warm, no sound any more. anyone know what happed???

not likley. its a chain and theres 2. could just be cold belts coming up to temp from friction. hard to say really.

Well yea,

If you leave your G out in the weather and it's below freezing you'll have
all kinds of odd noises while it warms up. Easy fix, keep your car in the
garage.

It is probably your rubber drive belt and components like power steering pump, alternator A/C compressor (if windshield defroster is on). When temperature is very low, the rubber belt becomes hard and the grease in all the bearings of the rest of the components is very thick. All this causes noise, which goes away when the engine compartment warms up. Katalaves?

I had the same problem

just took it into the dealer and found out it was the a/c compressor....

$1500

eep.

just bend over and take it into a dealer or mechanic.

i have the same problem, after not driving for a couple months (since i'm in school rignt now) when i go home and start, it makes funny noises, sounds like the belt..i think. after a few days its back to normal.

but even i don't open A/C , the sound still there

You don't open A/C, but A/C open automatically when "DEFROSTER" is open. Only way you can close is close automatic climate control to "OFF" Display will say "OFF". That way everything is off and then check for noise when is cold.
