i'd like to know as well. just wondering, but would it produce the same effect if one were to push the e-brake on the auto (lock up rear wheels) ?

No it's not the same when u wanna drift ur car u cant just use the foot e brake and i just like it to be there in case my radar go off i just pull the e brake to slow down instead of stepping on the brake and the brake light will light up

hmm, wouldn't downshifting be safer since you run the chance of locking up your rears when you pull the e-brake?

I understand what you're trying to do, and I realize that you probably don't pull the brake that hard, but there's a reason why cars use the front brakes for stopping power, not the rears.

just my $0.02 worth.
