1000 miles after installation of my Michelin pilot sports ps2, I check my new tires treadwear and what do I find out? One of the tires is installed backwards(outside inwards). I got them at America's tire co(with road hazard) and they were installed there....

I drove 200 miles to get them installed at vacaville because the tires were on national backorder. I'm not driving another 200 miles just to show them they did the installation wrong. Do you guys think I can demand a brand new tire from the local America's tire co?

 

Is discount tires direct = America's tire co? Do I call discount tire co to tell them about this, america's tire co should have some kind of HQ managing the chains right?

are these tires symmetrical? if so, it wont matter.

 

just checked. theyre not symmetrical...lol

 

I doubt it since he was able to tell they were on wrong.

there on right adrian, i mean, you cant rotate the tires, and if you do the inner wall of those ps2 are the same thing, [: trust me , i though it was wrong but its just the way the ps2's are

 

nono I'm not talking about rotating the tires. The part that says outside is in the inner side. It's installed wrongly.
The zig zag pattern of the PS2 should be on the outer but for the left tire, its on the inside.

 

you need to get it flipped asap. Any Discount Tire should do it for you as long as you provide the receipt.

yeah, that's stretching it, driving it on the opposite side for a thousand miles or so wont have any major affect on the tires performance in the long run. It never hurts to ask but i doubt they'll give you a new $250+ tire for free. Just take it in and they'll do it for free. It's pretty much a "no harm, no foul" kinda thing
