31k miles in less than 1.5 years ... when does the warranty go out?

Just hit my 31,000 mile mark and I've had the car for a little less than a year and a half (bought a new '05 model back in August '05). Now I'm wondering when the warranty will be out. Is it after it hits 50,000 miles or is it something else? If it's 50,000, I'm probably going to think about extending the warranty.

I think its a 4 year 60k mile warranty (at least it was in 03 I believe) so 60k miles or 4 years whichever comes first.

The standard powertrain warranty is 70,000 miles, IIRC.

I'm basically in the same boat as you. Bought in August '05 and have 33k right now on my 05 6mt sedan.

Nice. Good to know that the G-owners are making use of their car and not just trying to preserve the car by putting little or no miles. STL_G, how's the car running even at 70k miles? Any noticeable differences in the ride experience even after all those miles?

so i take it for the warranty is which ever comes first? i have an 06 with about 12000 miles since july 06. i have the extended warranty, but im guessing it wont do any good if i exceed those miles? i commute from the city to the suburbs for school and city to close to downtown for work. gas is already a pain for me since its the winter. crap.

You may want to look into an extended warranty if you plan on keping your car for a while. The dealer explained to me that after a certain amount of miles which if I remember correctly was 70k they will not sell you an extended warranty.
