Help! Intermittent starting problems

I have had this problem a couple of times before but recently it has become more frequent. Many times I turn the key but the engine doesn't start and when I try it the second time, it barely starts(meaning it feels like its about to stall then starts) any idea of what's wrong?? This is very annoying...I only have 13k on the odo and have been keeping up with maintenance.

What year is your G? I have an 06 6mt with 8000 and it happened twice. Would not start on first try and had hard time on second.

if you drive your car hard...i suggest you clean the throttle body every 30k or so...before i cleaned my throttle body my car would start up, but the revs would

drop and almost stall (it actually stalled a few times)...after i cleaned it, it was good as new...

maybe need to re-calibrate throttle body butterfly valve, i know it can cause a rough idle, this is if you ever did some mods thougth, had it happen to me....look on the motordyne website, on the last page of plenum spacer instructions.

just a guess

I did the throttle body repositioning & ecu reset and all that stuff. Nope didn't work. It happened again tonight.

BTW I scraped my flex joint earlier when my car was lower, could it be a vacuum leak causing this? It's not destroyed but the flex joints are sort of torn

make sure all bolts are tight, maybe ya got a leak, also check the rubber gasket near the oil cap, often tends to get stuck in spacer during install

^ actually symptoms of that would prob be rough idle as opposed to starting issues, but its a try.

Damn,
I thought i was the only one experiencing this problem. I have an 04 Auto with 57k and it's happened to me couple of times. It usually happens after i drive the car hard. The dealer has no idea what is causing it.
