Void warranty...??
I called my local Infiniti dealer and asked if putting a CAI in would void my warranty and they told me yes that modding engine would void my warranty. I am just @ 1150 miles and dont want to void warranty in any way. Anyone have any information on this as a fact?. I know alot of you have put cold air intakes on your "G's" so please clarify this for me.
Thank you

They're giving you the run around. If you live in the US the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act prevents dealers or manufactures from voiding your warranty just because you mod your car. They have to prove that the root of the problem was caused by the mod.

I live in Canada, and my dealer told me a CAI would not void my warranty provided it's installed properly (as anything else). They sell these kits at the dealership and install them too of course.
Sounds reasonable to me......Other dealerships? who knows, you'll have to ask.

OK... I know I said this in another thread but the dealer won't void your warranty (or can't by the law stated above). I know... I have a CAI, headers, exhaust, and coilovers as my performance mods and my dealer doesn't say anything but nice things about the mods. It just depends on your dealership I guess. BTW I go to my dealer regularly as I got lifetime oil changes with the purchase of my car :P Hope this puts you at ease...
