So the deal is that I want to get the Eibach Pro Kit...I leased my car (my intention being that there would be bugs in the intitial release of the car to the states). The question is...if I'm leasing the car...and I put the Eibach springs on...does it void any kind of warranty...? Can I just replace the original springs when I give the car back...? Any thoughts...? Any ideas...?

I'm wondering about this as well.

 

A dealer will try and tell you that you killed your waranty but they would have to prove that thats the reason why somthing broke and if you changed back to stock spring before you turn it back in they wont know the differenc my friend did that kinda stuff on his S-10 but he lifted it and made it back to stock before he turned it in, just make sure you have a big plase to keep all your stock car parts

 

yeah man it does because there not from the factory or genuine nissan parts. all i would do is put them in and take them out when u return it

 

I bought my G at a different dealer than I get it serviced at...do you think if the place where I have it serviced found out that I had the springs changed that they would make note of it, and that it would show up on the car's record...?

Sorry for all the questions...I just went through a lot of sh*t w/ my old honda accord and had to pay a lot of money to get it certified by honda to sell it because of having work done at places that weren't honda and using none-honda parts, etc. And I'm leasing this too...so I don't want to be held resonsible for anything, ya know...?

I was told by the dealer that this would not void the warranty or violate the lease agreement in any way. I should be having this done next week, and though it might be more expensive, I'm having them do it just in case.

CoolCatGee is right here. They cannot void warranty because of aftermarket parts placed on the car unless they could prove that the part broke a stock part that was initially under manufacturer warranty.

They are not allowed to void a warranty unless the aftermarket part damaged or created a problem with the stock item.

It is not legal for them to void parts because they're aftermarket because this would fall into a monopoly suite. If they did this, everyone would have to get parts from them in order to keep their warranty, which is illegal.

Just take the springs out when you're lease is up.
