I concur...thats a lot of money to spend for the 30K.

I was gonna get it done but decided to just change a few things at the dealer, which I am doubting they even did (for reasons which I will not explain here). I changed the air filter and cabin filter on my own. Had them do oil change and diff fluid change. Will have the firestone do coolant flush, tranny flush and brakes done.

You can get all four new tires (NICE ones too, like bridgestones or something) installed with lifetime balance and road hazard for around 800 (twice the price of one measely tire). Plus, if you did change only one tire, your tires would all be off and nobody likes that. The road hazard thing covers bubbles in your tires. I got a set of re960s for 800 installed with RH and LB, plus front and rear pads installed with brake flush for 150 more (pads were another 150 off internet). Good luck

well, it turned out to be $718 for the 30k.

as for the tire, i wanted some BFG KDW's, but they said that BFG doesnt even make them in the size needed for the fronts, so i had to go with the matching Potenza which were $278 for just the tire, and $350 after labor and such.

i was told by the infiniti parts guy that the tire may be covered under warranty by Bridgestone, so i went to a Firstone dealer and it turned out it wasnt because it wasnt a natural defect in the tire.

apparently these front tires are damn near impossible to find...every place i checked with didnt have them, or would need to special order them just to get them, none of the Firesstone places in Vegas even had them on hand. so come monday, i will have ONE brand new Potenza to match all my other worn ones. hopefully i wont feel a difference.

not only that, but i lost my wheel lock key and the firestone guy said hes gonna have to tear at that lug and likely destroy my wheel getting it off...so great day all around.

walked out of my house that morning figuring to spend no more than $500 on the 30k wound up dropping twice that and blowing my whole day running around.

im figuring my tire blows out on me at some point here in the next two days.

These G's are so well made that you really don't even need to go it to get that 30k service. When I talked to my service advisor, she just told me not to even worry about that service cuz our G's are that well made. The only thing that I did was have them give me their standard inspection and I changed all the gear oils and fluids myself. Now I'm due for my 52K inspection....I'll let you know how that goes when I cross that bridge.

Hey man, what dealership are you going to? Are you going to Towbin? I can't believe they would rape you that bad, they usually are very good and I haven't had many problems with them at all. If you did go to Towbin who helped you? Was it Darren by any chance?

first its dealership pricing, secondly ever dealer does different things for their major servicing so thats why pricing is different, without knowing what was done there is no way to see if you overpaid or got a bargain at the dealership. you might pay more at the dealership but you wont have to worry about warranty issues related to the work that was done there later

It is expensive but you dont need most of the stuff on the 30k service. A buddy of mine and I are going to do the Diff. ourselves and i did the in cabin air filter myself. and the last thing is the Tranny fluid. and im going to have Orlando Infiniti do that they only charge 130.

it is Towbin, and no it wasnt Darryl Hern if thats who youre talking about, it was a dude named Tony Thomas.

i usually like to get Erlinda, but i got stuck with Tony. Its cool though i guess, he got me the 07 loaner to beat the hell out of.

You seem to keep putting up the fact that he gave you an 07 loaner as a way to kind of make the fact that they are somewhat overcharging you more justifiable...honestly (and I hate to burst your bubble with the fact that you were given an 07 loaner as if it were a special occasion)...the dealership I take mine to bought 20 2007 G35 sedans as loaners a few weeks after the car started selling...so its really not a big deal he gave one to you (they are probably using them in their loaner fleet). It was no trouble at all for him...it doesnt really sound like he did you much of a favor to charge you so much for these services! Be careful...i hate how dealers rip us off, especially if we pay for something and not even receive it...thats the worse (for example, paying for a coolant flush and coming back to the dealership, paying, and then checking to see that they hadn't even touched the coolant!)

Welcome to the Stealership...............!

Before you let them touch your car you need to go over just exactly what
they're going to do with the service writer! The work sheets offen include
things like tire rotation and antenna service. You need to be spacific as
to what your going to let them do so you don't get charged for things not
needed like the above mentioned items. Oil change, filter replacement,
trans fluid replacement and fluid levels/belts is normal at 30K. Infiniti by
my house wanted $300 for trans service and Nissan one block away will
do the same service for $125.......who dropped the soap?

$750 is rediculous, and what the hell did they do at $15k to warrant a $450 service?????
Which Firestone, I might be interested in bringing mine to a fellow G owner.

$750 for 30K?? $450 for 15K????!!!!! That is absolutely ridculous!! The 15K service consist of only oil change ($30 bucks), engine air filter ($15 bucks changed by me), cabin air filter ($15 changed by me) and tire rotation ($10 bucks or free). Averything else is BS checkups that you can do yourself. For the 30K I'll most likely go to a local Nissan specialist who seem to have pretty good reputation on Nissan and Honda forums. They only charge $300 for the 30K.

it also depends on which service schedule you are running. there are three for our car. It's in the manual.

in spite of that, I have no idea how much it should cost

good news is i got them to give me an 07 sedan loaner...****in badass!!

if the new G coupe has atleast that much power, ill pay whatever they ask. however, going 120+ in that sedan is scary because it feels kinda floaty and unsteady. the coupe shouldnt have those problems i hope.

sedan owners should feel real good about their purchase, they now have one of the best looking 4 doors on the road...as opposed to the 03-06 where they shouldve never let anyone know they were the owner of such a monstrosity.
I just paid that much for my 30K service AND an entire new windshield! my 30K was $275 + tax... the windshield was roughly $496 with tax
