Do whatever you want with your money and credit young buck, but I wouldn't do it because your car is only gonna depreciate over time and by the time you spent all your money on bull**** you could have bought a newer, and faster car.

Everybody here is correct, except the ones who stated the resale value of the car, honestly if your going to keep the car until the end, resale value really doesn't uphold anything.

It is a horrible habit to charge for things you can't immediately afford (ie paying it off at the end of the month). Unforeseen expenses always seem to appear which then forces you to put off paying your debt. A month turns into 6 months, 6 months into a year, etc not to mention most people continue to keep charging. It's a viscous cycle and it seems that the more people get depressed about their CC bills, the more they get the attitude of "F-it, I'll buy it anyways, it's only $1K and I'm already screwed".

IMO, the most important thing college is suppose to teach is maturity and responsibility. Academics are only a small part of it.

Enjoy the fact that you're 20 and are driving a G35. It took many of us years of saving to get one. When it comes most everything, but homes and cars, only buy stuff you have the money for.

*Off topic*
As for the 3.0 GPA, it's fine. I work for the world's largest engineering/consulting firm and I interview people all the time and I can tell you I could give a rat's *** about people's GPAs. It's meaningless to me because the academics of college do not truly prepare you for your career. It doesn't matter if you're a doctor, lawyer, businessmen, engineer, etc. If anything, we shy away from people that have overly high GPAs, Dean's list grads, etc because often these people tend to think they're worth more even though they don't have a lick of experience. That diploma is you're ticket in. Remember this, most everything you're taught in college is about 10 years behind what's being practiced in the work force.

unless you're in the medical field. we practice right with the latest and greatest stuff....a lot of times stuff that hasn't even reached most smaller hospitals. and GPA is a HUGE factor. everyone gets trained the same way, so the ones with the high GPA are the ones that are usually better in clinical environment and know more. definately a plus in healthcare.

i do agree with you on stuff like mechanics, etc. You can build the crap out of a car and know nothing about books.

gl. i'm glad you're taking into consideration what these ppl are saying. next time, i think your dad or mom could have told you the same.
If it was up to my mom and dad, they would say here is a honda civic, no mods, and we will pay for everything but you can't HAVE all the stuff you want. ie. Nokia N73 Phone, Exhaust. I would rather work for that stuff instead
of having the minimum in life. Without Goals, you have NOTHING.

That's why I only listen to half of what my parents say, most of it coming
from my experienced dad.
