JL has great quality subwoofers for the price, IMO. The boston stuff is also very nice, but I dont think they sound as tight and clear as the JL's.

I'd invest in one 10" W3v2 with a 250 watt jl used amp, unless you want some huge attention getting abnoxious system. Oh, and make sure you get a sealed box!!

Everyone always says this, but I dont understand. I had two alpine type r's a long time ago with a whole bunch of power going to them, and a W3V2 JL sub (comparable price wise) had higher sound quality and bass output with less power. The JL warranty is also very good and they will take care of you if something blows up....alpine takes forever, mine took 2 months

JL ftw

The w6 and w7s are very expensive, I wont lie, but I think for the money a w3 is a great sub.

Personally I think the bose system is good enough

Used is the way to go for them. They are reliable little sob's too, so going used is a little less scary.

if i had all the money i wanted, sure...JL

but since i don't ...kicker cvr's are what i'm going to do...two 10" cvr's

theyre cheap. theyre clean. they bump. they get the job done.

i'm getting 2 for 100 bucks.

I got a w3/4080 box and I love it!! Didnt want booming bass and didnt want to spend too much. Just push it with a decent amp and RMS and you're good to go. I think if I went with the w6/w7 i'd be taking care of a lot more rattles!
