Thanks, I appreciate it.

Results next month will likely include all model years, though 2007 will be sedan only and most previous years will be asterisked for insufficient sample size. I say "likely" because one year is a single response short for even an asterisked result.

If you've signed up to participate, but haven't yet responded, please do so. More participants would also be very helpful, especially if I have to provide separate results for the coupe and sedan (definitely for the 2007).

Because the sedans are a different design generation than the coupes, so I absolutely cannot combine them, and not enough coupe owners have responded to the surveys.

Next results in November. If I have enough responses from coupe owners it will be among them.

There are now over 300 G35s for all years. Thanks, guys. The more responses I have, the more detail I'll be able to provide.

For the 2007 coupe, we won't be able to post a result this month, but probably will be able to in February. Most of the 347 G's in the panel are sedans, so more coupes are very much needed.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Every single participant helps a lot.

I recently added a Common Auto Repairs Database (CARDb) to the site. People posting common repairs can include a link to a forum thread discussing the problem. I hope this will make it easier for people to find this information, while helping to grow the forums that have been lending a hand with the research.

461 G's now signed up. Which is excellent compared to most other models, but more would of course be better, especially if we want separate results for the coupe.

Next results in early February for all model years from 2003 on, including the 2008.

Now 484. 500th soon?

Next update in many. With this many participants, we should have a viable sample size for most model years. Thanks, guys.

That said, most of these cars are sedans. To provide separate results by bodystyle, still very much need more coupes.

I applaud your efforts, but are you guys actually giving your license plate to this guy?

About 1/3 do, and about 2/3 simply enter the color of the car. I need some way to tell cars apart with people who own two of the same model and model year (it happens).

I also need a way to verify if suspicious cars actually exist. So far this has never been necessary. If the plate is ever needed from someone who didn't provide it, I'll request it. This way that request won't be news.

I've been doing this now for three years. Over 21,000 people have signed up, including hundreds from this forum.

Look around. You'll find that not one of these people has reported any misuse of any of the information they've provided.

So you can calm down

For those who want to help provide better reliability info, the place remains:

Why are people so scared of giving out a license plate? members here always block it out in pics and comments like yours right here make me wonder why your so scared??? they cant do jack with just the plate number

hell, if your scared of giving out your plate number you better take it off your car because hundreds of people see it every day while your driving.

Updated results in early May.

Still need more coupes, especially the 2007. We'll be reporting a separate result for the 2007 coupe, but with an asterisk for marginal sample size.

A little preview for the helpful bunch here: unlike earlier years, the 2007 coupes simply don't seem to break. But a larger sample is needed for a more precise result.
