I don't think it has anything to do with the ****. Infiniti is saying, if you cruise at let's say 35 mph as opposed to 80mph, the wipers will wipe faster at 80mph, regardless where the **** is set at.

I don't know if thats special; my Integra GS-R did that also.

in my 525i, if it's set at it's fastest speed it will slow down to it's slowest speed when i come to a stop like at a stop light and will go fast again when i begin to drive again. not sure if that's what you meant.

If they were automatically speed sensitive, why would there be a **** to adjust it manually?? Sounds redundant.

^ You will this wkend!

Who gives a rat's butt about this feature! You'll be going so fast that the water just slides right by. lol jk I love the feature Benz offers. It automatically detects when it rains and wipers turn on.

I've tried this out but it change is so small (in speed), that I hardly notice it. The reason why you adjust manually is amount of rain you get. If you speed up, it wipe more often but if it is really raining, you would want it to wipe even more so. The car won't know if it is pouring rain or just very misty, so you at least have to let it know how much it is raining.

This feature is on my '06 coupe. Once you set the speed of the itnermittent wiper... it'll automatically go faster/slower depending on if you increase/decrease your speed to compensate. However, you set the default rate [or baseline speed] yourself with the manual setting.
