Thanks to ALL!!

HI Everyone,

I want to Thank You All for your Kind Words, Cards, Flowers, Prayers and Support over the last week and a half. As many of you know my eldest son Andrew passed away in an auto accident on his way to school November 17.
This has left a huge void in our lives and I still cannot believe he is gone.
I plan on building a FAST SRT4 in his name, with the help of his friends on SRTForums.com, who have been great in their help and support too.
Also planned is a DVD in Andrew's memory, for anyone interested.
Thanks again, you have all been great.
Don't mind me if I get a little testy sometimes about racing and driving rechlessly on the streets. BTW, Andrew was not racing. But I think it is so dangerous and a waste of life and property if something like this happens to anyone. So please drive carefully and safely. Take care.

We Miss and Love You!

Re: Thanks to ALL!!

That sounds like a great project Merlin, and you get to work with a great bunch of peeps at SRTForums.
I'd like to know more about the DVD you plan in Andrew's memory. A wonderful idea.
I understand your aversion to street racing and how just driving these days can be so costly in lives and accidents. Nobody wants to go thru what you had to.
God speed you and your family, Merlin

Good to hear from you, Merlin. I've surfed around SRTForum and agree with GSM-- great group of people. Excellent idea for the SRT-4 -- a great way to be immortalized.

Merlin,
The way you are handling this is a tribute to him! Form what you said, he was more than a son, but a great friend as well. Please let me know about the DVD, I would be more than happy to help anyway I can.

Re: Thanks to ALL!!

Merlin,

I was looking forward to hearing from you. Best of luck with the SRT-4 project and the DVD, both sound like great ways to honor your son. Can't wait to see what you cook up for the SRT-4.

Warmest regards,
Chris Mendola

Merlin, be well.

I've lost a son too, so if you ever need someone who can relate, I'm just a PM away.

Re: Thanks to ALL!!

Sorry again for your lost.

I think the srt-4 project is a brilliant idea, if I ever pass away in a car accident the my wish would be that my father and my friends would built a fast(er) G35c in my memory.

Good luck with your projects!

Re: Thanks to ALL!!

Thanks guys. I was wondering a little if it was a corny idea. But I guess it is my way of trying to fill the VOID. I still expect him to call, walk through the door etc......... and I guess I will for awhile.
But I plan to make the 'project' SRT really fast, handle like a go cart and be as Stealth as possible.

Hope I am not being too morbid. But what do you think about his urn engraving.

Re: Thanks to ALL!!

Merlin,
The engraving to commemorate Andrew is a wonderful idea, just like the SRT-4 project. Both will help you get thru this loss you and your family have suffered.
I'm sure Andrew is watching from up above saying how proud he is of his Mom, Dad, Kyle and all his friends.
He'll live forever in your memory.
Take care

Re: Thanks to ALL!!

Nothing will ever fill the void, Merlin. He'll live in your memory forever, and be the same age when you meet him in the 'Here After' I'm sure!

Have your family help out with the project as well. It'll help them feel part of contributing to what I'm sure he would have loved.

Re: Thanks to ALL!!

Glad to have you back, Merlin. And that's a great idea to build an SRT-4. I also endorse the idea of having the whole family participate. One last thing: Asian philosophy/religions say that as long as people think of loved ones who have been lost, they are never really gone. It's true in more than one way. May your memories be happy.

Re: Thanks to ALL!!

Thanks guys. Nice story from one of Andrew's friends that I communicated thru Aim tonight.

Apparently on one of the nights that we got together and the SRTForum guys met up at PF Changs. One of Andrew's friends took some pictures and 2 Silver SRT's were side by side, one with tint and one without, in the pic above the one with tint there was a glow of some sort. We think it was Andrew. I have not seen it yet but hopefully I will soon and can post the pic. Andrew's car was Silver BTW.
Take care and drive safely.
