I get this weird sound when ABS or SLIP comes on, it sounds like a big spring is popping or something. Comming from the front of the car.

Any ideas on what the heck this is? Is it normal?

 

i think that's some type of transducer system that works with the vdc system. when i tried driving on some slush, it did it so much it sounded like a robot was talking.

 

That's exactly the noise I'm talking about.

im getting the same thing...im guessing it would be normal? its snowing so bad here in chicago at the moment..im kinda surprised on how the car handles in snow; didn't really lose control (not to mention i took my sweet @$$ time for once..)

 

Its normal, my BMW X5 does the same thing.
