Hey everyone - this is a bit random. I picked up a 2007 G35 Coupe back in December and have been treating her like glass. However, my parking brake is acting strange. See, at my work (in LA) we have a big sub-terranean parking garage, and they've hired so many new people that they had to hire valet to stack park through all the levels - this means having some jackass move my car around several times a day while I'm working.

A couple of times I've gotten into my car at the end of the day to find the parking brake pushed ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. Now, I assume the floor brake has been standard on previous year G's... and any of you know that it starts to click and lock after being pressed down gently only a couple of inches. This was *to the floor* like a foot further than it should have been, like it was an effing U-Haul or something. I told one of the guys to please not do that but there's always random people parking it.

Anyway, today I noticed that my parking break suddenly has like 4 inches of give before it starts to "clickclickclick" and lock-in, so I have to push it down more than twice as far as normal. That and I can wiggle it back and forth an inch or more. It feels like it's messed up and I'm pissed.

So, my question is, is this something that I can have fixed during regular maintenance? Or is this going to end up being a giant hassle? I'm taking my car in for sched maintenance the first week of March so I have no idea what the service centers are like.

Any advice would be great, even if it's DIY. I want to get this thing feeling tight and locking where it should.

Thanks in advance!
