Cool Front inner tire wear..

Well im stuck in the snow for 1 with my stock 19's lol and its a bytcccccccchn...(no winter tires here), anyway..trying to get my car out of the snow which didnt happen anyway i noticed on my passenger side front tire there is an unbelieveable amount of tire wear but only on the inner part of the tire now i see why the "Roar" nice is louder on the passenger side..suks!!

anyways here's my question.. Is this normal for the inner part of the tire to be so worned out..shouldnt it occur evenly..is this a camber problem??

any help apreciated

The inner tire wear is common, but you may have a problem depending on the severity. I have some inner tire wear on my '04 18s, but I'm at 38k miles, and I rotated them to even it out when I was at around 28k miles. Rotation on coupes is more costly since you have to not only rotate but also dismount and remount the tire so at the end you have what was inner now is outer. But obviously you either don't care or just lack knowledge since you were negligent and came out with your summer 19s on rwd car in this weather. G/L to ya.

Gs have short tire life because they come stock with a some toe and a little negative camber which basically kills your tire life but you get good handling out of it. The next time you buy some tires get them aligned stright with just bearly some toe it will extend the life of your tire a lot more, but you will be giving up some handling...but make SURE you go to a reputable alignment place.

if your mom has a driveway/garage waiting for you..your fine, but parallel parking in brooklyn isnt pretty right now.

alignment didn't help my 05 coupe. They said they did what they could, but that camber cannot be adjusted.

good luck. You'll see quite a few threads and posts about the cupping/feathering tire problems. Strangely reminescent of the class action with the 350Z.

this is a camber and possibly large toe problem. Have it aligned and get a camber kit if you don't have one.

It will get louder and louder. I bet money they are cupped which means they need to be replaced asap. I went through the same thing with my front two tires. These stock tires don't last long at all. Buying the Nitto Invo tires as a replacement might give you longer tread life.
