I feel like a Noob asking but....

I have a 03 with 31000 miles coupe still under a 7 year/mile drive train warrenty,

I am the second owner, that warrenty still applies right ?

Also I have a JWT clutch and fly, and I know that (by using search ) it does not void my warrenty,

BUt ever scince my original clutch went out and I mean it was GONE, and I replaced it to the JWT, Man in low rpms like 1.5 and under that shiz is so loud so loud and rattly, when i had my friend listen to it he said, "OMG I have never heard one sound like that". I know some rattle is normal but its amazing how loud it is it vibrates my whole car a little.

I am wondering if something is wrong with my tranny, when i down shift even at like 3k rpms and less I hear a loud Turbine sound, esp in 1st gear,
My tranny is also insanely loud and rattely also.

I know that our trannys are a bit louder then other cars and that the JWT is loud too, but this is kinda scary sound at low rpms, i cant hear it at higher rpms though, and the turbine sound also worries me.

Should I take it to a Dealer ? Would they inspect it for free ? would they replace it for free under my warrenty? Also the nearest infiniti dealership is like 120 miles away but I have a nissan one here, can i go there ?

PS. I know there are many questions and a long post, I thank you for taking the time to read it, and thank you even more if you answer I also used the search to read up and make sure I wasnt missing something.

You can have them check out for you they're still Nissan certified ppl (wouldn't hurt to call and making sure about that), free or not I don't know. Which I don't think will be free, dealer always trying to get $$$ from you because they make more $$$ from you instead of from manufacture.

One question, how the hellll on earth that your car is 31K miles right now and your original clutch worn out b4 that? My car is hitting 90K in a couple hundred miles and still ok with the clutch. You either abuse your ride or else I don't know =)

I don't think that any dealership would check it for free under warranty because you already have the clutch replaced. Now if it was the stock clutch it would be different. Good luck.

I replaced my clutch because I bought the car with the clutch going out. I also didnt replace it at a dealership.

An aftermarket clutch doesnt void warrenty so if my synchros in my tranny are messed up then I should be fine under my warrenty right ?

+1......if the dealer see's any after market parts they will blame issues on the change from oem. But there are some cool dealers out there that will take care of you..........

I am a tech at a dealer and I inspect cars all the time and the customers aren't charged. The car is under warrenty use that to your advantage and the dealer can't charge you for anything with out getting your permission first.

^ true that, but isn't that dealer charge for inspecting customer car (once using after market parts) ?

i called a nissan dealership(for the same reason) infiniti was too far, they wouldnt take me. and if your talkin tranny replaced? unless you have bumper 2 bumper, they'll gig you on wearable items. trust me i came out of pocket 1,500 on my "covered" tranny. but it was replaced because 5th gear grinded. good luck

If you're getting serious vibration, you may want to check you mounts...motor and tranny.
