hey guys.
can any body help me out with a dealer that could send me a part via UPS/DHL or similar.

my local bodyshop was fitting a wings west rear bumper on my 2005 skyline 350gt, and was fitting some aftermarket fog lights to the rear. i told them not to wire these up, but they went ahead and blew the PCM board up.
as you know LED lights are 3 volts, and he put 12 volts through the PCM located in the footwell by my gas pedel (right hand drive remember) behind the fuse panel.
so i now dont have any rear lights, we were told it was part number 284BICD410, and would take 5 weeks from japan??
can i locate this from the USA? and fly it over?
any help from you guys would be great, thanks very much.
the 350gt is unheard of here in the UK, but you guys know a lot about them (G35 coupe)

It's gonna be a toughy locating the part in the states because most likely we'd have to order it from Japan. Hopefully somebody with the knowledge can shed some light. In the meantime, you can try to look up the part on this site. LINK. I would definitely have your "Mechanic", if you can call him that now, to pay for all damages done to your car and expedite the shipping.

 

it could just be the fuse. the fuse is in the engine compartment right under the battery cover. check that before replacing anything else.

 

i dont know what year your g35 is but you can prob also get it from the dealership in Dubai - UAE. im sure courier is like 1-3 days.

i checked the fuse, and took off the PCM board and you can see where its burnt out.
and yes, the "fitter" is paying for all the costs ($400 approx)

does anybody know why this circuit is/was not protected by a fuse? it seems strange that the PCM was not surge protected?

Ironically - same advice as the other fellow in the UK. Call Tony at Riverside Infiniti. I'm in Canada and they are the only ones I buy parts from. If it exists, they can get it to you.

 

I have a new unused unit here..any good

 

I put back in the old unit and the wipers and lights are going haywire. Does this mean I need a new one? or it needs re programming.
