Silvia Parts Grill (gialla replica) question...

i just got mine in the mail, looks sweeeeet, heading over to home depot to get black paint for the mesh and a drill bit for the holes but was just wondering...

can i remove the support bar or will it sag? i know some people with gialla remove them but dont know if the SP one will do just as good without it? anyone? or should i just paint that black as well

i'm sure it would be withtout that support bar. ive seen a few floating around here without it. some will argue that the grille will lose its integrity, but i doubt it.

but if i were you, i'd just paint it flat black..

btw, screw painting the mesh..get some customautomesh..

if you paint that wire mesh, i guarantee itll start to chip and you'll be painting it every other day. starts to be a real PITA.

if you can find black plastic mesh at home depot, then go for it.

idk about the stuff home depot offers, but i can say that there is a difference between plastic mesh grilles. my friend bought a roll from ebay and it did the job but mine is much nicer.

it's all up to you.

Go to Home Depot and go to the building material dept. There you find a metal gutter guard. I bought one and used it on the bottom opening on my daughter's Camry.
