the reason for me to bring it because i was concern how the oil reading on the dipstick was getting lower and lower. dealership said it was normal. i'll make a retarded looking example of it.

oil change, dipstick reads:

H||||||||||L

200+ miles:

H||||||||||L

600+ miles:

H||||||||||L

900+ miles:

H||||||||||L

the dealership said ANYWHERE between the H and the L is normal. the only reading that would tell them that it is consuming oil would be passed L (meaning no oil at all). is this true?

i always thought consumption test would test how much it's losing, not how fast it's going to hit the L, right? i dont know. dealerships are *******s.
That is a bunch of sh*t. Losing that much oil in 1000 miles is not normal.

Your dealer is full of ****, Infiniti is not wanting to replace any more motors hence the reason they told you it was normal. I would have another dealer perform the same test.

Off Topic, Has anyone gotten Infiniti to pay them out for the price of a new long block? I would think this would be a better option since they are replacing one damaged engine with another possible damaged engine. If they were to pay us out we could have another shop tear down the engine and replace the internals were better parts.

Thoughts?

Engine Number 2 is dead after 2300miles or so.. nice eh?
I'm done with infiniti .. The engine is flawed, big time, and I just can't tolerate this crap.
I called my dealer a few days ago and told them my sway bar was loose again and my engine seems like it's running low on oil and that i'm going to drive it to FL this thursday. .. They told me it's no big deal, they don't have time to check it out so just check it myself and put oil in it if needed and take it on my trip.. They also said to bring it in when I got back. My take on it is this.. I didn't spend more money than I'd like to admit on a car only to check my oil and add oil before my 3500 mile mark. I informed him I'm not going to do that because I shouldn't have to. I made it to FL last night, and went to bed. I woke up this morning and drove to waffle house and the engine was rattling like crazy. I called road side assistance. I'm in Pensacola, closest dealer is in Mobil. The car has 1.5 quarts left after it's 2200 mile life. They didnt give me a loaner and my dealer couldn't do a thing. The Roadside guys said that I have to go through the dealer that has my car to get a rental. I'm 450miles from home and stuck with my 4 year old and my 4 month pregnant wife sitting there on the side walk. I finally get word from roadside that I just need to rent a car and submit for reimbursement when I get home. .. No cars left at Enterprise, so I have to actually get a taxi to pick me up and take me to the Airport and get me into a car. The dealer's going to have me pick the car up on Monday and now I have to return the rental and go through a bunch of hassle. It's just a bad bad day.. and a really bad overall experience. First day of vacation in a LONG time (4 years) and this happens. It sucks and I felt this could have been avoided if they just documented the issue and added some oil for me.. .. .. soo.. like I said.. I'm done with this car.. 2 engines in 10 months 10,000 miles.. .. sucks!..
