Good point SammyJL, you would have to consider the entire wheel/tire combo with the tire mounted on the wheel and find the moment of inertia. I guess you can't generalize about 20" vs. 18"... just have to figure it out on a case by case basis, or let the butt dyno figure it out for you.

I never really took physics so I am not sure about the moment of inertia... But I do think that there should be a right size of wheel for every car to maximize their performance.

But if that Accord's got some I/H/E fully package.. then don't feel bad... After all, Accord IS one of the 10 best car in C&D =)

 

ok - think i got pretty much everyone's feedback on this "travesty." This guy lives around me and always heads down the same road to the bars tonight. Believe me: i'll see him either tonight or tomorrow and the damn vdc will be off! I will repair the damage done to the reputation of our cars! (either that or look like a complete tool again......)

new accord can't be souped up... only mod they got so far is an intake that's it... i know cuz i'm usually at 7th gen accord forum...

Reading this month's Car & Driver, I came across an article claiming the Accord Coupe V6 stick was capable of 0-60 in 5.7. If that's true, it looks like we would be dead even. 1/4 mile time was .2 behind though. However, in a road race, you'll never get to 1/4 mile.

Looks like the A/T is outgunned in this battle.

actually i think those srt-4's are damn fast. 5.9 seconds 0 to 60. thats pretty much the same as the g35 auto. all i have to say is remember the damn vdc.

 

I just smoked my friend's 2004 Accord V6 6MT with exhaust/ intake, I beat him by at least 2 car length, also on the way home I smoked a 2003 BMW 540i by 1 1/2 car length... I think G drivers just need to get familiar with the G's characteristics...
