can't believe it: pulled up at a light and two guys in a new honda accord coupe started revving their engine. I floored it out when the light turned green, their tires spun, mine didnt. and they beat me by about half a car length. anyone know their 0-60 time? should i have stepped on the brakes at the same time as reving? very pissed off. (have auto with b&b exhaust system).
p.s. and to make matters worse at the next light the driver yelled out "thats v-tec baby!" bastard.

 

hahaha damn v-tech ... well that must have been the 6speed, those things are pretty fast, they do 0-60 in about 6.3s if I am correct.

What you need to look for on the new Accord is the emblem on the back of the car. The 6 speed manual version has a <font color=red>red</font color=red> V6 emblem on the back. The automatic V6 emblem is black. Don't take them lightly when you see that red; they're pretty quick but have a crappy launch since they're front wheel drive.

Why race a Honda to begin with? You have absolutely nothing to gain. If you win it's because you're supposed to win; if you lose, well, you're embarrassed... [img]/w3timages/icons/blush.gif[/img]

just checked out the 0 to 60 times and i should have won. Maybe he had it hooked up. I know he definitely had an exhaust, but so do i. Good point on the red lettering. he did have that. but shouldnt i have won anyway?

you say your tires didn't spin. Did you turn your VDC off? that can seriously dampen your acceleration the minute you get the slightest wheelspin.

Yea good point. VDC absolutely kills your acceleration if you don't turn it off.

Yes a huge difference ... it will say VCD off on the dash.
