anyone know if this clears a kinetix ssv?

The SSV sits lower than the stock plenum let alone with the engine cover. You should be perfectly fine with it. If you read through the group buy thread you'll see that it clears SC & TC's that take up much more room than the SSV.

I just installed my strut brace this weekend and there were some clearance issues with the bar and my hood. I ended up having to file down the bracket holes another 1/4 of an inch so that it wouldnt end up bending my hood up at the middle. I dont have any spacers or plenums, so I just ended up removing the engine cover. I know these bars are a custom job so not all of them will be perfect fit. My 2006 just so happened to need a bit more adjustment with the bar. I dont know whats gonna happen when I go FI and i wanna add a plenum or something tho...

hmmmmm, that the first I have heard of this problem. That's a little odd - no one else has reported clearance issues - causing the hood to bend up.

Well good thinking on your part on elongating the holes.
