New at the G world, need advice
Re: New at the G world, need advice
"The performance isn't really different between the two. It's either you want classic config with a clutch, or you don't. As for AT being faster, is that really true? I thot the MT was faster?"
Yes it is, if you can drive stick verrry well.

I totally agree that MM mode is faster. I did better time with MM than with D. Like .4-.6 sec faster if u shifted it right. Good luck with your G and enjoy!!!

Re: New at the G world, need advice
In terms of the MM mode would not make a difference after reseting ECU since you control the time you want to shift gears. Isn't that right? And somebody posted that we would gain hp after reseting ECU. How that can be possible? In my thinking you could gain some better performance in that in drive mode, it would just shift close to the red line instead of shifting at 5500 rpm give or take.
Re: New at the G world, need advice
I tell ya what I just reset my ECU last night, 12 hour disconnect, and I actually felt more pull from about 3500-4000 rpms than I did the day before. I drove it before the disconnect to get a feel for how she was acting so I could compare and I do feel a difference in those rpm ranges. Could it be psycho sematic? or does it really give ya more pull down low as well?
