2005 HP 5AT vs 6MT
2005 Mts are "rev up" engine. They have 18 more hp but 10 less torque compared to the auto. The MT also has, I believe, a high redline than the auto.

the revups have
shorter and larger runners in the upper intake manifold.
variable exhaust cam timing.
better oil pump.
stronger rods bolts.
7200 rpm rev limiter.
the rev-up engine has more aggressive timing which works sort of like the honda vtec..that is why you loose some tq and gain hp.
with an increased redline and durability..revups breathes higher and therefore make additional hp up top..but in doing so..they lose a tiny bit of torque. in a manual tranny, that 10ft-lb of torque means little because you have a clutch to play with to dial in as much of that torque as you want..

I did use the search button. Dug 4 pages deep still no answer.
Search is great but you need to get the phrasing just right.
