Using a floor jack?

Where are the best points to use a floor jack on the coupe - typical differential housing and front cross-member? Thaniks.

Simple answer..............

Check the owners manual, it shows exactly where to jack up your GC.

if by factory jack points you mean those reinforced points where the scissor jack goes, i've always been told that's it's a serious no-no to use a floor jack at those locations.

The only downside of using the frame rails (the sides of the car where the scissor jack goes) with a floor jack is that if you don't have a groove to catch the rail, it bends some.
I've been using frame rails to jack cars up for a couple of years now.

Or you could just be super cool and use the oil pan.

First, use the SEARCH function. Someone posted a JPG of jack points just weeks ago.

I've used the notches every time I've put mine up. I set the jack up about 5 inches to the rear of them so I can put the jackstands right on them. I've had my car on jackstands for over a week like that, more than once, and haven't bent the rails.
