Hello All,

I got in my car last night and drove to the local Subway restaurant. Everything was fine, until i turned my car off and got out. I noticed my parking lights were on(the lights where you turn the light switch one notch). I also noticed this only happened i took the key out of the ignition, not while it was in. The car also seemed to be laboring when i would turn it on. Meaning it seemed to take an extra second or two to turn on. I let my car idle for 30 minutes thinking it was the battery. This made the car sound better and like normal when i turned it on, but the lights still stay on when i take the key out. Sometimes it stays on sometimes it doesn't, but more times than not. Also i was driving and wanted to go in manu-matic mode or tiptronic mode. Nothing happened, it just stayed in D. I have an 04' Automatic Coupe. Never had this problem before, just wondering if anyone knows whats up or had a similar experience. My Infiniti dealer said to bring it in, but I can't until Monday.

I had this happen and it is a dummy code to let you know that something isnt checking out on your car right or that your ing switch relay is sticking open I just went out and turned the key a couple of times to try and unstick the relay and they went off so I dont know if it cured the problem but it hasnt happened again

 

when you turn the light switch on one notch, its the automatic light switch. it stays on after you take your key out and turns off shortly after you have closed the door. is that what youre talking about?
