Mobile 1 Oil Filter
Mobile 1 Oil Filter
Im due for an oil change. I just bought 5 qt of the German Castrol and just wonder what filter to use. I was looking at the M1-108 filter, which is recommended for the G, but it looks kind of small. The M1-110 looks the same but a little longer. Is it ok to use the M1-110 instead? And are there any advantages using the longer version?
I use the longer Napa Gold version (aka Wix). But depending on your changer interval, it most likely won't matter. I change every 3-4k so I'll admit, either filter would work for me but I use the longer one anyway.

I use the 110.. but I just bought a 108 sine they were all out of 110's lol..
If you have a few bucks extra you can get the KN oil filter too.. They are the design as the M1's.. but they are soo much easier to take off with the hex bolt on the end of it!

Especially with the M1 filters, the silicone gasket doesn't need much pressure to seal. I just hand-tighten it a 1/2 turn.
