Actually I got it at the autozone in Wood Dale, IL while driving to my sister's house. But I think other autozone in Chicago will have it as well.

i just bought M-108 filter. would it make it difference if i trade it in for a longer filter (M-110)?. the 108 says "2x capacity" on it. anyone know what stores carry German Castrol? i want to try that. thanks in advance.

Where'd you find that? Mobile 1 filters are one of the best filters, and are comparable to the pureones if not slightly better, just at double the cost

Oil filters!

Hey guys,

Believe it or not, the Nissan filter is the best filter you can use for your car! Its even better than the K&N, Mobile 1, and all other filters you can buy in any auto parts store! I've owned many Nissan & Infiniti cars for about 10 years now and I am a Broker for Nissan & Infiniti and accordingl to all the Nissan & Infinti techs past and present have always stated that to me. I probably do more driving than Infiniti owner out there, and knock on wood have never experienced any internal engine problems over the years. I also use Castrol Syntec Synthethic oil for many years. Just to give you guys how much I drive, I currenty have almost 84,000 miles on my 06 M45! I had my car less than a year and a half!

Good luck with your filter choice!

Lawrence

i think in general OEM filters are "rebadged" from other manufacturers. i know honda filters are made by fram.

it doesn't say that mobil 1 filters are bad but it says that they aren't the best. says taht the mobil 1 filters are prone to leaks.

Or not. Maybe at one time. But no longer. I highly suggesting checking your filters for this: You see why?

Thats a big difference from saying they are crap, and your links don't even have any proof, just "reports" with no pictures of actual failures

B.S. Links.............!

These links are just one persons opinion.........I wouldn't use an oil filter
that Pep Boys sells for $4.95 on my $40K car. (Purolator) In the past I've
used Mobil 1 filters without problems. (125K on previous Z) They only leak
if you don't tighten them or leave the previous gasket in place....dumb!
I'm currently using K&N oilfilters for my G and the wifes Vet. Found them
on line for $8= and change with free delivery if I buy three...................
my opinion.........

True, except Champion Labs filters, like Mobil, K&N, etc, actually are better than the typical filter... I used to get AC Delco UltraGuard Gold filters, which was basically the same Champion Lab filter as the Mobil filter, except you could get it as Pep boys for 7 bucks... But GM discontinued that filter.

As far as cheaper filters go, as long as you stay away from Fram/Pennzoil/etc, you should be good.
