yeah, when i bought mine, i was getting the same deal (on dealer tire pressure) so i raised them to what i like, and have had no problems since. lemme guess, your light goes away after a few minutes of driving?

 

I got that light just before I went for the 3750 checkup. Some d1ck must have bleeded one of my tires because the pressure was at 7psi when I drove it to the gas station on the way to the oil change. At least it wasn't a nail/hole, you can't patch a high performance tire (well... it's highly discouraged).

 

You guys getting air at the gas station? I noticed most gas stations don't bother bleeding moisture out of their tanks, nor do they have inline line-dryers. Moisture in the air, is bad for your rims, and will cause greater pressure fluctuations with temperature... I noticed the gas stations near me, have so much moisture in the air-tanks, that water literally streams out with the air.

One of the reasons people push Nitrogen so much, about it fluctuating less... Actually has nothing to do with the Nitrogen. It's actually because the memranes they use to extract nitrogen, happens to also separate moisture from the air at the same time...

Anyways, I have my own 26 gallon tank and compressor, and I installed an inline line dryer... I haven't had the TPS come on in the cold since I started filling my own tires.

And FWIW, they come on at 28 pounds, not 34.

 

acually its still going on since yestorday morning. IT is however freezing here in new york for the past two days. Weather is around 14 - 25 degrees from morning till mid day and lower at night.

Im sure its no biggie but i dont like seeing the little light come on right after i buy the car u know?


P.S if the light is on ( which it is ) how do i know which tire needs it? they look fine to me.

 

some gas stations has air that has tire pressure guage built in.. u could check by that

 

i just bought this car last week did not even touch a air tank yet.

you shouldnt be conerned, in most cases its due to the tempterature and the way your tires are been sitting. once you drive it for a bit, most likely the light will turn off

 

yeah.. i also live in NY..
had the warning light up last week on a cold day..
it went away on warmer days

 

ok yeah i figured it was that... maybe ill wait cause right now its snowing outside AGAIN so im sure its on afta i get home.

 

You could always do as I did in my broke a$$ college days to my turd p.o.s. cars and pull the bulb out of the dash. Easy fix for those check engine lights, who needs them anyways?lol I don'k know if I would want to tear into my g like that but those idiot lights drive me nuts when they stay on.

 

Youre just better off checking all 4 tires and making sure theyre all exactly where you want them. what pressure you use is up to you. i played around till i got what felt right.
