pros- looks, aftermarket goodies, cool sounding engine, and a long list of neat standard features.

cons- not the fastest car out, not up to BMW build quality, ending production life (for this body style), and eveyone and their mother has one.

I have had my 07 coupe for a tad over a month and just over 2K miles. I really enjoy this ride. Classy looks, great sound, inside and out. The build quality is, IMHO, quite good, fit and finish seems on par with other like priced automobiles. Very comfortable at hi speeds and on road trips. Very secure seating, although the complaints about the shoulder belt is legimate. Gas mileage is acceptable for performance delivered. Great Navi system, much better than the system in my 04 Maxima. Bose system has quality sound and I particularly enjoy the XM radio. Not sure about "ending production life" as the 08 seems to have only small styling changes. I actually see way more sedan than coupes here in Vegas.

HUH??? The 08 will be a total redesign from inside and out with a 3.7L engine...

Brand new 07 g35 coupe-2008_infiniti_coupe.jpgI was shown the "redesigned" 2008 Coupe by the dealer and I guess we have different opinions as to what the phrase means...

You like it, you buy it. Quite a simple concept.

Your dealer doesn't know what they are talking about. That is just a sketch of things to come. Nobody knows what the final production will look like yet. It IS going to be a complete overhaul of the G class coupe.

i'd say go ahead and get the 07.

From what i've seen, the styling on the 08 is gonna essentially be the same, with only some small cosmetic changes to the lights, so you wont have to worry about your car looking dated anytime soon.

plus the 07 already has an established aftermarket that you can draw from which will more than make up for the few extra horses that the 08 will come with.

just my .02 cents, at the end of the day its up to you. good luck.

I think dealer gave u the shaft like they do everyone LOL
he showed u wat he needed to show u to make u hop into that '07 & walked away smiling
I bet he made the changes seem so insignifigant like when BMW changed the 3 series from 92-95 to the 96-99 basically a makeover

3.5L to 3.7L engine = more HP + redesign not just minor styling changes (I dont know what pic he showed u) 08 coupe looks like the 07 sedan (just in coupe form)

+ the fact that value of 03-07 G35's will drop signifigantly once the 08 drops (it happens to almost every car, foreign or domestic, once a totally redesigned model is introduced)

...my 3 cents

Pay attention to your new engine as this VQ engine tends to consume a lot of oil!!!! That's all.

DO NOT BUY the 2007 G35 COUPE, YOU WILL REGRET IT AS SOON AS THE 2008 COUPE COMES OUT, nicer car, better car, faster car, same price. but thats my opinion.

The new sedan already run 13.9 according to C&D
the previous sedan and our coupe goes 14.6 base on C&D

so yeah....i just tell everyone tat will buy that 2007 coupe, not worth the money, when the coupe comes out u'll say - why didnt i wait.
