Canadian VS. American G's
I'm waiting for delivery on my '04 Coup 6speed here in Vancouver, Canada. I ordered my car through my car broker who got me a skookum good deal, however when I asked about available options, I was left feeling a little unclear. Perhaps all you nice forum folks can shed some light on the subject...
According to my broker, the 6 speed manual offers the navagation system as the ONLY available option; which I ordered. He tells me that the spoiler, sun roof and upgraded sound system is standard equipment in the 6 speed. I wanted to verify this info with my local Infiniti dealer so I called them up but the salesman on the phone wouldn't get past the fact that I bought my car through a broker and wouldn't offer me any answers to my query. Even though the car was being ordered through the dealership he works at. Aaargh!
Anyways, getting to the 'America VS. Canada' part... sometimes regional car distributors will make changes in American releases and Canadian releases of the same model. Is the American 6 speed offered in full trim less nav? Am I wrong in assuming that the Canadian model is offered this way?

I can tell you that the US version has several options, but it appears by visiting the Canadian Infiniti site that the nav is the only option. www.infiniti.ca

That's right bro. Up here in Canada they load them up with not many options.
As to the salesman not helping, you should ask for the Sales Manager and discuss things with him. If he wants to know why you asked for him, tell him what happened.
Mine is an A/T ('03) with all the options and was $49,400 b4 freight, taxes, licence etc etc. I believe there is a slight price increase for the '04's.(I'm in Ontario BTW).
Good luck with your new ride.

Yes both popular but rare too. Not so many have gone the extra skrill for the ride. I'm in the Toronto area and the Sedan is seen more than the Coupe. In my town of Cambridge there are many Sedans now but only a handful of Coupes.

Thanks very much for your replies. I feel better now knowing that I'm getting all the goodies.
Here in Canada, the 6 speed coups are always discernable because of the spoiler, just like what was said above - they come standard. They're quite rare here in Vancouver. As a testament to how uncommon they are; I like to annoy my girlfriend when we're on the street by saying "THERE'S MY CAR!" when a 6 speed drives by which is only once or twice a week.

In montreal I see a few sedans every week but I'm lucky if I see more than 1-2 coupe per month and most of them are automatic.
I don't complain, I like it that way.
EDIT: I paid 47 000$ plus everything for my 03coupe so you should be paying 47 700$ for your 04.

No - what I'm saying is that the 6 speeds come STOCK with a spoiler and ALL availale options except nav in Canada. Nav is the only goodie you have to order in the 6 speed. All other available options come as standard.
Anyhow, my 6 speed '04 with nav came out to $51,100CAD through my car broker. Saved the MSRP and taxes were included. I just got the call this evening that my G will be ready to be picked up tomorrow at 2pm. I don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight.

Wow! That sounds like an excellent deal. I also live in the Vancouver area and I'm seriously considering buying this vehicle in the Jan. 04 timeframe.
Which car broker did you go through? Would it be possible to provide me more information? I'm interested in getting a similar deal on my vehicle if possible.
Thanks in advance.

Aurora, email me: adam@adamsky.ca and I'll reply with my broker's contact info. You WONT be disappointed. When we sat down to finalize the deal and sign the paperwork, the dealer tried to edge in $200 above the quoted price. My broker hit the roof and got him to completely rewrite the deal to the original quote. I would have overlooked it as it was only a difference of $5.50 per payment.
Ova - Yes, in Canada like every other Commonwealth country we call the Nissan the Zed. America is the only country to call it the Zee. I know, it's nutty.
